Libyan Community of Windsor & Essex Community Press Release.
We the Libyan Community of Windsor and Essex County would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the Coalition forces and to the Governments and People of Canada, the US, France, Britain, Italy, Denmark, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Norway, Belgium and others.
The quick actions of those countries to enforce the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1973, which calls for protection of civilians, saved 1000’s of precious civilian lives in Libya.
We urge the continuous enforcement of the No-Fly-Zone until the Fall of the Gadhafi regime and the establishment of a free and Democratic Libya.
The Gadhafi regime is trying to deceive the International Community by trying to make false accusations such as, the Coalition Forces attacks on his murderous war machine is causing civilian deaths.
We gather here today to rebuke Gadhafi’s lies and accusations and declare that the only civilian deaths are caused by Gadhafi’s murderous war machine represented by foreign mercenaries that Gadahfi brought from certain African, European and Arab Countries.
Furthermore, as we gather here today to thank the coalition forces, we would to call and encourage our government to:
1- Recognize the Libyan Transitional Interim council as the sole legitimate representative of United and Free Libya.
2- Declare the Gadhafi Regime illegitimate and doesn’t represent Libya.
3- Stop dealing with Gadhafi regime’s Embassy in Ottawa, as they are still loyal to the illegitimate Gadhafi’s regime and doesn’t represent the interests of the Libyan people.
4- If the Libyan Embassy in Ottawa doesn’t denounce Gadhafi then the Government of Canada should deport the mission members.
5- Monitor the movements and activities of some of Gadhafi loyalist in Canada in order to protect the lives and interests of Libyan Canadians opposing the Gadhafi regime.
Once again, We would like to thank the Coalition forces for all of their hard work in helping getting rid of the murderous regime of Gadhafi. In particular we would like to thank the men and women of the armed forces for putting their lives in harms-way to protect the lives of innocent civilians in Libya. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families.
God bless Canada, God bless the Coalition forces, God Bless Libya.
Thank very much. The Libyan Community of Windsor and Essex County
